Adams & Martin Group works directly with boutique up to AmLaw firms to place skilled legal professionals across all levels. Our clients rely on us to strengthen their litigation teams by hiring experienced litigation paralegals. In this role, you will support active litigation matters through discovery operations, court filings, document management, and trial preparation. You'll collaborate with attorneys, clients, experts, and vendors to maintain accurate case posture, deadlines, and workflow. Onsite presence is required, with hybrid scheduling available for certain assignments.

What to Expect in This Role
- Location: San Diego, CA
- Engagement Type: Temporary, Temp-to-Hire, or Direct-Hire
- Compensation varies by assignment,
- Temp: $35-50 hourly
- Direct Hire: $65,000-85,000 annually
- Preferred practice-area exposure: Civil Litigation, Insurance Defense, Labor & Employment, Complex Litigation, and IP Civil Litigation.
What You'll Do
- Support matters from intake through trial, including pleadings, discovery responses, subpoena handling, and maintaining accurate case documentation.
- Coordinate document review and production, conduct targeted research, and manage review workflows using tools such as Relativity.
- Assemble exhibits, witness files, trial binders, and courtroom materials; maintain litigation calendars and trial timelines.
- Prepare and file state and federal pleadings, maintain version control, and organize related filing materials.
- Work closely with attorneys, clients, experts, vendors, and internal teams to track deadlines, monitor case posture, and keep assignments moving.
What We're Looking For
- 3-5+ years of litigation paralegal experience.
- Bachelor's degree and ABA-approved Paralegal Certificate (or equivalent experience + certificate).
- Experience preparing and filing pleadings in state and federal courts.
- Discovery experience, including document review using Relativity or similar tools.
- Exhibit preparation and trial-support experience.
- Proficiency with structured electronic file systems and litigation-support tools (Clio, ProLaw, TrialDirector or similar).
